Dr. Ch’ng earned his Medical Doctor (MD) degree and completed his Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) at Universiti Sains Malaysia. His pursuit of excellence led him to further specialize in glaucoma through a prestigious fellowship in Switzerland. Recognized for his expertise, he was awarded the Certificate of Completion for Fellowship Training (CCFT) in Glaucoma by the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Additionally, he was honored as a recipient of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology International Fellowship Programme (APAO-IFP) for Glaucoma in Japan, reflecting his commitment to advanced ophthalmic care.
Dr. Ch’ng adopts a multimodal approach, combining medical and surgical treatments to manage this sight-threatening condition effectively. He is highly skilled in both conventional glaucoma surgeries and the latest minimally invasive techniques, including Minimum Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS).
